Tsum Valley Trekking

The sacred Himalayan pilgrimage Tsum Valley is situated in Nepal mid western part of Gorkha districts nearby Tibetan Border. ‘Tsum’ derived from Tibetan word ‘Tsombo’ which means vivid. Traditionally, Tsum Valley was a currently distinct geographical area called 'Tsum Tso Chucksums', which means thirteen provinces ruled as a single territory. This secret Himalayan valley is rich in ancient art, unique culture and religion beside mountain scenery.

The trial of Tsum Valley Trek is strewn with artistic Chortens and lined with Mani walls made of thousands of stone slabs carved with drawings of deities and inscribed with prayers. The famous Kyimo Lung, a pilgrimage circuit in the central Trans-Himalaya is a well known seat of learning and meditation. Local believed that in 11th centaury the Buddhist saint Milarepa used to meditated in the caves and where still now you can see foot print of him when fly in the heaven after got enlighten. As holy serene, people of here never slaughter animals, even as sacrifice to the gods. People of here have unique culture and tradition, still following polyandry system and they have their own tradition, dialect and festival. The Tsum Valley Trek offers extremely rich cultural and ancient belief. There are many Gumbas (monasteries), Chortens and Mani walls (over 250m longest) are at Dzong and Phurpe. The varies altitude of Tsum Valley trek goes from 1,905m in Lhokpa to over 5,093m at Ngula Dhojhyang pass on the Tibatan border. The hidden treasure valley is surrounded by the Boudha Himal and Himal Chuli to the west, Ganesh Himal to the south and Sringi Himal to North.

The restricted area Manaslu Tsum Valley Trekking begins from Arughat Bazaar, after 5 to 6 hours drive from Kathmandu. The trail follows the Budi Gandaki River bank most of time through wild and unexplored village; Chumling, Chhekamparo, Chule Nele to the Mu Gumba and side trip Gumba Lungdan with Ganesh Himal Base Camp. Day 06: Trek Chumling to Chhekampar (Upper Tsum) (3,010 m)

Day 07: Trek Chhekampar to Chhule-Nile (3,361m), visit Milarepa Piren Phu Cave

Day 08: Trek Chhule-Nile to Mu Gompa (3,700 m), visit Dhephyudonma Gompa (4,060 m)

Day 09: Trek Mu Gompa to Rachen Gompa (3,210 m)

Day 10: Trek Rachen Gompa to Dumje (2,405m)

Day 11: Trek Dumje to Philim (cross Ripchet) (1,570 m)

Note: Some time we could face problem due to flight delayed by few hours or cancelled for a day because of bad weather or road traffic. It is happen very rarely, but it could even in best trekking season also as you know how climate change is effecting our globe and the mountain weather is un predicable. Therefore, we always recommend you to add one supplement night in Kathmandu after your trek if possible (just for incase). If everything runs smoothly, you can enjoy other activities like sightseeing, rafting, shopping, as you wish.
