Rolwaling Trekking

Rolwaling Trek is a wilderness less-frequented trekking route, below the Mt. Guri Shanker (7,145m) (standard time line of Nepal) east-west valley near the Tibetan border. This remote trekking trail offers you real Nepalese lifestyle and great experience fascinate Nepalese and Tibetan mixed culture. Breathtaking gigantic mountains panoramic view, un-spoilt people custom, ancient Buddhist monastery and pure natural beauties, varieties of vegetation and rare wildlife are main attraction of the Rolwaling Trekking.

Rolwaling is full of the tales of the yeti, the elusive snow man in the world and this is the place where some mountaineers arranged expedition to hunt yetis in the earlier period. This is most remote and beautiful parts of Nepal, ancient picturesque villages with beautiful rice terraced landscape, dense forests and wonderful sights of Himalaya. Rolwaling Trek begins from Barabise with a scenic drive on the Katmandu - Lhasa highway to the ancient trading town of Dolakha and leads through one of most remote picturesque villages beating over dizzy suspension bridges, impressive gorges and steep paths, then ends in Barabise. Or across Tashi Lapcha Pass (5,755m) with experienced Guide and well equipped Potters, and then enter in to the Khumbu valley -land of the Sherpas. This trip call Tashi Lapcha Pass Trekking also, you will visit Chho Rolpa Lake before pass and get in well-known Sherpa Villages; Thame and Namche, the gate way to Mt. Everest expedition and views of Gokyo Valley, then fly back from Lukla. For Tashi Lapcha Pass Trek you require fitness and former basic mountaineering skills. Tengi Ragi Tau (6943m), Bisphero Go Shar (6,729m), Dragkar Go (6793m) and countless snowy peaks are can be seen on this trip. Beside it, you have abundant flora and fauna, Explore Sherpa Museum in Namche Bazaar, Panoramic views from Syangbuche.

Rolwaling Trek Itinerary is possible to make shorter and longer or camping trek as your requirement and holiday schedule. Note: Some time we could face problem due to flight delayed by few hours or cancelled for a day because of bad weather or road traffic. It is happen very rarely, but it could even in best trekking season also as you know how climate change is effecting our globe and the mountain weather is un predicable. Therefore, we always recommend you to add one supplement night in Kathmandu after your trek if possible (just for incase). If everything runs smoothly, you can enjoy other activities like sightseeing, rafting, shopping, as you wish.

Cost Include

  • Full board meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner) during trek with Tea, coffee each meal in a cup.
  • High quality camping equipments quality North Face or Mountain Hardware or similar kitchen, dining, toilet tents, mattresses, and kitchen equipments.
  • Transportation from Kathmandu to Dolaka or Barabise and back to Kathmandu local bus/ car/ van.
  • Air ticket Lukla to Kathmandu.
  • Sagarmatha National Park Permit fee
  • GCAP (Gaurishankar Conservation Area Project), Rolwaling Restricted Area permit
  • TIMS Card (Trekkers Information Management System).
  • Teahouse or Home stay Accommodation entire trip per as available.
  • Warm down Jacket and Sleeping Bag for the trek.
  • Government license holder experienced Local Guide with their food, accommodation, salary, equipments.
  • Porter (between every 2 person basis) Max. 20-30 kg. Plus their food, accommodation, salary, equipments
  • One Sherpa (assistance guide) if group size more than 6 people. Plus their food, accommodation, salary and equipments.
  • Duffle Bag during trek and first Aid medical kid and Camping Gares.
