Paragliding in Nepal

Paragliding is a comparatively a quite new adventurous activities in Nepal, but a truly fantastic and pleasing that any adventure lover can feel or experience. From last three years have seen the activity flourish in Pokhara, and it now is an internationally recognized destination for free-flight enthusiasts. Pokhara is most popular spot for paragliding, superior views of 3 of the worlds 8000m peaks (Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manasulu) with friendly and constant conditions for your paragliding holiday. Paragliding is depending on weather condition. The best months are between November and December but still flying season in Nepal commences from November to February. The gliding is offered in Mahabharat range however; the more is done in Pokhara, the beautiful lakeside town at the bottom of the Annapurna Himal.Paragliding tandem flight involves a pilot flying with a passenger. Both have separate harnesses (built for comfort and safety; they feel more like an armchair) that are attached to each other and the wing. Once launched the passenger just sits back, relaxes and takes in the epic scenery, even it is possible capture scenery in your camera without any complexity. Due to the portable nature and easy launch characteristics of a paragliding (they fit into a rucksack); we can take them anywhere and fly them from most of mountains in Nepal.

For Paragliding, we take a 20 min jeep ride from Pokhara to Sarangkot (1592m), which offers great views of Fewa Lake, where the sunrise and sunset rays land in. This midday flight gives you the thrill of high flight as we thermal up above Sarangkot in the company of eagles and vultures, 30min - 1 hour. We land by the lake.

Cross-country

This flight offers you the chance to experience flying from one valley to another. Using thermals, clouds and birds to guide us, we take you on an unforgettable journey north of Pokhara towards the big mountains. We fly as long as we can and aim to return to Pokhara at afternoon.
