What to expect during the flight?

An hour Mountain Flight takes you within camera range of some of the highest peaks in the world, and cruising this close to the awe-inspiring massifs of rock and ice, is an out-of-this earth experience. After takes off the aircraft heads eastward and almost immediately, the snowy mountains come into view. At first a peak appears on your horizon is the majestic Gosaithan, standing 8,013m height. To its right, appears Dorje Lhakpa (6,966m), looking like a massive figure of 8, lying prone and white coverer. On its right is Phurbi Chyachu, which looms over the Kathmandu Valley.

Then next on your vision is Choba Bhamare, rather small in this company at 5,933m, but singularly stubborn as it remains unconquered to this day. Then comes Mt. Gaurishanker (7,134m), standing out sharp and conspicuous-Hindus believe that Lord Shiva and his consort Parvati protect this mountain. The air craft move toward the eastern Himalaya, a succession of majestic mountains follows. Melungtse, with a plateau-like top stand at 7,023m; Chugimago is at 6,297m, and still remains to be scaled. The view of Mt. Numbur stands at 6,956m, Karyolung, a gleaming-white mountain at 6,511m, and cho-Oyu, the sixth highest in the world at 8,021 m.

Consequently, at the last most exciting stretch of the journey takes you close to the 7,952m tall Gyanchungkang, which is considered an extremely tough climb. To its right is Pumori at 7,161m and Nuptse at 7,855m. Finally, there is Mt. Everest itself (8,848m), called Sagarmatha by the Nepalese and Chomolungma by the Tibetans. Mountain Flight is an altogether different feeling as one comes face to face with the world's tallest and most enigmatic of mountains. Mountain flights are also possible from Pokhara.

And other mountains that can be viewed at close range are Nuptse (7879 M), Lhotse (8501 M), Cho Oyu (8000M), Makalu (8475 M) and Kanchenjunga (8584 M). Yeti Airlines’ mountain flights are spectacular than any other operation in Nepal because Yeti Airlines's SAAB-340 flies at an optimum altitude of between 20,000 to 25,000 ft. and shows you the Himalayan Range like never before. The mountains are at eye level for your maximum viewing pleasure. The Dornier-228 shows you Mt. Everest by virtually flying into the lap of Everest (Khumbu Valley). Unless you decide to take up mountaineering, this is the closest view of Mt. Everest that you'll ever see.

Unlike in other Airlines craft, the non-tinted windows of both SAAB and Dornier provide you with excellent opportunity to photograph the mountain and keep your memories fresh forever. Sharper and clearer vision of the Himalayan Range is where your money is best spent.

The ideal wing position of both aircraft means that you have an unobstructed view of the mountain ranges. Yeti Air operates one full hour of mountain flight.
