Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is short and easy walks through the rhododendron forests and cultural villages just beneath the majestic Annapurna range. This trip goes around the corner with exciting glimpses of the high mountains scenery, different vegetation and wildlife, while get in the highest points an elevation of 3,210 meters at Poon Hill. Poon Hill Trek goes through the spectacular mountain scenery and charming villages Ulleri, Ghorepani, Tadapani and Ghandruk inhabited by the Magars and Gurungs community. Mostly the trail goes through incredible dense of rhododendron, orchids, magnolia and alpine forests, full of birds, playful Langur (black-faced monkey), and deep sub-tropical valleys. The Ghorepani Pun Hill Trek access of least amount of time, which is begins from either Phendi or Nayapul, it can be reached after a short drive from Pokhara. This trek is considered to be best introduction to trekking with some spectacular views. [I] Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek Suggested Itinerary -09 Days

Day 00: Arrival at Kathmandu.

Day 00: Trip preparation and permit paper work day.

Day 01: Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara (950m)

Day 02: Drive to Nayapul (1010m) and trek to Tikhedunga (1570m)

Day 03: Trek Thikdhunga to Ghorepani (2840m)

Day 04: Hike up Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3210m) and to Tadapani

Day 05: Trek Tadapani to Jhinu Danda (hot spring) (1780m)

Day 06: Jhinu Danda to Tolka (1790m)

Day 07: Trek Tolka to Dhampus (1580m)

Day 08: Trek Dhampus to Phedi (1080m) and drive to Pokhara

Day 09: Drive back to Kathmandu early in the morning by Tourist Bus

Day 00: Your own destination.


[II] Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek Suggested Itinerary -06 Days

Day 00: Arrival at Kathmandu.

Day 00: Trip preparation and permit paper work day.

Day 01: Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara (950m)

Day 02: Drive to Nayapul (1010m) and trek to Tikhedunga (1570m)

Day 03: Trek Thikdhunga to Ghorepani (2840m)

Day 04: Hike up Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3210m) then to Ghaundrung (1950m)

Day 05: Trek Ghaundrung to Nayapul (1010m), Drive to Pokhara (950m)

Day 06: Drive back to Kathmandu early in the morning by Tourist Bus

Day 00: Your own destination.

Note: Some time we could face problem due to flight delayed by few hours or cancelled for a day because of bad weather or road traffic. It is happen very rarely, but it could even in best trekking season also as you know how climate change is effecting our globe and the mountain weather is un predicable. Therefore, we always recommend you to add one supplement night in Kathmandu after your trek if possible (just for incase). If everything runs smoothly, you can enjoy other activities like sightseeing, rafting, shopping, as you wish.

  • Full board meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner) during trek with Tea, coffee each meal in a cup.
  • All ground transportation during trip Kathmandu to Pokhara to Kathmandu
  • From Pokhara to Phedi at begging and Naya Pull to Pokhara by private tourist bus/car/van.
  • ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Project), TIMS (Trekkers Information System) Cards.
  • Teahouse Accommodation Twin bed sharing basic entire trip per as available.
  • Warm down Jacket and Sleeping Bag for the trek.
  • Government license holder experienced Local Guide with their food, accommodation, salary, equipments.
  • Porter (between every 2 person basis) Max. 20-30 kg. Plus their food, accommodation, salary, equipments
  • One Sherpa (assistance guide) if group size more than 6 people. Plus their food, accommodation, salary and equipments.
  • Duffle Bag during trek and first Aid medical kid.
  • Tourist service charge, vat, Governments Tax and official expanse if necessary.
  • Insurance for all staff.
  • Welcome and Fare well program.

  • All kind of beverage including mineral water, Phone calls, laundry, hot shower during Trek.
